Get Ahead of Holiday Travel with Packing Tips from EZQuest

The hectic holiday travel season kicks off next month and one of the best things you can do for yourself, and your trip is to plan ahead and get your packing checklist done. Below are helpful tips from the EZQuest team to help you with the process.

  • Make a list and check it twice. The easiest way to make sure you pack everything you need and don’t forget anything is to make a list. Sort the list by if the item is going into your checked bag or carry-on bag. The list can also help you visualize what you are packing and if you need to eliminate anything that you doubled up on.
  • Travel tools can be helpful. Packing cubes, toiletry bags and Ziplock bags can be your best friend while packing. Packing cubes are perfect for grouping and compressing items together to help with space, toiletry bags can help keep cosmetics and other related items together (look for a waterproof bag to help contain spills if there happens to be one) and Ziplock bags are perfect for organizing small items you don’t want to get lost in your bag.
  • Don’t forget the necessities. During the rush of packing, it’s not uncommon to forget the daily necessities like your toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant and other items. Make sure you pack these first and if you need to use them day of, set a reminder on your phone to pack them. It also doesn’t hurt to already scout out locations by your hotel or Airbnb where you can pick these items up in case you do forget them, or you need to pick up additional supplies.
  • Streamline your chargers. Chargers are one of those tech items that we can’t escape as we constantly need extra battery life for phones, tablets, laptops, cameras and other gadgets. But instead of having a hundred different chargers to pack and rely on, swap them out for EZQuest WorldTravel 35W and 65W chargers. The chargers are designed with 4 different plug types that could plug into the sockets of 200+ countries and regions and can charge up to 6 devices simultaneously (1x AC Socket, 4x USB-C and 1x USB-A).
  • Plan your outfits. To help prevent packing too many clothes (which we all are guilty of!), plan your outfits so that you’re not just tossing random shirts and pants into your suitcase. It also helps to find items in your wardrobe that you can layer or wear more than once during your trip. Try to wear the bulkiest pieces of clothes like sweaters or jackets, on the plane so that you can free up space in your suitcase.
