Welcome to the next generation in digital recording. The new Monsoon GVP 22X DVD +/- RW 12X +/- DL Firewire External Drive allows you to write to DVD-R 22X and DVD+R 22X media as well as new dual layer DVD media with DVD-R 12X and DVD+R 12X that can hold up to 8.5GB of data or digital video on a single side.  Also, up to 6X on DVD-RW and 8X on DVD+RW media. The new Monsoon GVP 22X DVD +/- RW 12X +/- DL Firewire External Drive is also a CDRW drive that will write to 650 and 700MB CD-R 40X and CD-RW 32X media. The new feature of this DVD is DVD-ROM, which has ability to read as fast as 22X on single layer for DVD and 40X for CD. Also, the CD Audio Playback is 22X. Firewire makes this drive hot swappable.
